39 East 29th Street is a 170,000 sf condominium project rising 34 stories between Park and Madison Avenues, and features 142 residences.  The project presented a unique challenge to the construction team; with excavation underway, four floors were added to the structure, amounting to 18,000 additional sf which had to be phased in with all mechanical, electrical and plumbing specifications.  Each exterior elevation showcases varying architectural elements; the front of the building is window wall with precast; the sides of the building are brick with casement windows; and the rear is all window wall and brick.  Residences feature floor-to-ceiling windows, ultra-modern finishes, and the four additional floors feature 11’ ceilings and considerably larger apartments.
