Gotham served as general contractor for 10 West End Avenue, a 173-unit, 33-story luxury condominium located in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Manhattan, one of the most rapidly developing areas of the city. This is a poured concrete superstructure, and features a dramatic all-glass window wall system. Conceived to provide high design living within a family-friendly environment, the building amenities include a 50’ lap pool clad in black granite, 2-level parking garage, fitness room, and children’s playroom in partnership with the Children’s Museum which also serves as an attended daycare center exclusively for the residents. No detail was spared. Each unit features designer kitchens with Sub Zero refrigerators, Viking ranges, wine coolers, and European white oak cabinetry; Bianca Lasa marble master bathrooms feature a Japanese soaking tub, custom designed walnut double vanity, and oversized free-standing shower; the Afrormosia teak flooring was imported from North Africa; the Penthouse units include a recessed convertible gas-to-wood burning fireplace which required the installation of a chimney flue in each of these units; and many homes include private terraces.
