Silver Towers is comprised of two 60-story concrete and glass window wall residential towers. This complex includes 1,205,403 sf of residential, health club and retail facilities. Initial occupancy is slated for June 2009. The complex includes unique occupancy types: corporate rental units, loft residences, North Tower and South Tower rentals, all serviced by four separate lobbies. The buildings feature 1,359 rental units and the project is regarded as the largest single-structure apartment complex ever constructed in New York City. The two towers are connected by a 6-story base at 42nd Street, and will share a common courtyard, composed of stone pavers. The courtyard will also feature a retail glass pavilion, as well as a 6-story illuminated art wall located on the south elevation of the courtyard. The 6-story podium base will include a 20,300 sf health club facility with pool on the 6th floor along with an outdoor recreation area on the 7th floor. Gotham is also overseeing the extensive site work of a 25,000 sf landscaped public park that will separate the two towers and feature an open lawn area with ample public seating, garden beds and trees, as well as an interactive mist fountain for children and a dog park along 41st Street.
